Bennett Awards Creates Custom Awards for the ‘Harvey Awards’
Bennett Awards created a set of new custom awards for the Harvey Awards, one of the comic industry’s oldest and prestigious recognition awards. The Harvey Awards recognize outstanding achievement in the comic industry across several award categories. For these awards, Bennett Awards worked with event organizers to create a new custom award design that features a sculpture of the award’s namesake, Harvey Kurtzman (1924 - 1993). The sculptures were cast in resin, and finished in both dark bronze and gold to differentiate two categories of awards.
XPRIZE Commissions Custom Bennett Award
XPRIZE commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award for its latest competition: the Water Abundance XPRIZE. The Water Abundance XPRIZE was created to recognize pioneering technologies aimed at alleviating the global water crisis with energy-efficient technologies that harvest fresh water from thin air. The winner, Skysource/Skywater Alliance, received a custom award created by Bennett Awards, along with $1.5 million in prize money. The custom award was a clear acrylic water drop sculpture with an embedded globe mounted on a cast pewter base with sculpted engravings.
Bennett Awards Creates Custom Awards for PETA
Bennett Awards created a set of unique custom awards for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 6.5 million members and supporters. These custom awards were designed and produced for PETA’s Elly Awards, which celebrate the TV stars and shows that have promoted kindness to animals. For these awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom award design that featured a realistic sculpture of an elephant holding a flower in its trunk.
Bennett Creates Custom MVP Awards for Rugby World Cup Sevens
Bennett Awards created new, unique custom awards for the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens. The tournament is the largest stand-alone rugby sevens competition in the world outside of the Olympic Games. Bennett Awards created new custom trophies for both the men’s and women’s most valuable players. The trophy design featured a unique abstract geometric sculpture inspired by the event logo.
Bennett Awards Creates Custom Award for Siegfried Fischbacher (of Siegfried & Roy)
Bennett Awards created a unique custom award that was presented to Siegfried Fischbacher of the entertainment duo known as Siegfried & Roy. He received the custom award as the recipient of the Keep Memory Alive Caregiver Award. This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond to care for those who are unable to care for themselves. Fischbacher received the award in recognition for his commitment of caring for his longtime partner and Friend, Roy Horn, the other half of the Siegfried & Roy duo.
Bennett Creates Custom Awards for International Tennis Hall of Fame
For the second straight year, Bennett Awards produced a set of unique custom awards for the Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open, the first stop of the pro tennis summer swing in the United States. The tournament is held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, the original location of the U.S. National Championships. These custom awards are based on a sculpture in the shape of the ITHOF’s logo – a stylized tennis racquet. The tennis racquet sculpture is cast in pewter and has a brushed pewter finish.
U.S. Soccer Selects Bennett Awards for 2018 Tournament of Nations
For the second consecutive year, U.S. Soccer used a custom award created by Bennett Awards to crown its Tournament of Nations champion. The Tournament of Nations is an international women’s soccer tournament, consisting of a series of friendly games between 4 different women’s national teams. The custom championship trophy used for this tournament features 4 curving, intertwined spires, with each spire representing one of the four participating teams. A globe sculpture is mounted on top of the spires. The sculpture is cast in gold-plated pewter, and then mounted to custom polygon-shaped hardwood base with personalized engravings.
Custom Bennett Awards Created for Greenwich Concours d’Elegance
Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, one of the one of the premier concours in the country and the largest in the Northeast., commissioned a set of unique Bennett custom awards for their 2018 event. The awards are a unique custom sculpture design based on a stylish, unique silhouette of a stylized classic car. Two sizes of this sculpture award were created: a smaller 8” sculpture recognizing winning entries across a broad variety of categories, and a larger 10” sculpture for winners of the largest, most prestigious competitions. The car sculptures were cast in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish.
Robert Siegel, NPR Host, Receives Bennett Custom Award
Robert Siegel, the recently retired senior host of NPR’s All Things Considered, received a Bennett custom award as the 2018 recipient of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communications Lifetime Achievement Award. The Edward R. Murrow Award honors recipients who have a demonstrated commitment to excellence that exemplifies the career of Edward R. Murrow. The men and women who are named as Murrow Award winners are those who will be remembered as the pillars of the communication industry.
Custom Bennett Awards Presented at AKC National Championship
The AKC (American Kennel Club) presented a custom Bennett sculpture award at their 2017 National Championship, presented by Royal Canin. In combination with its ancillary events, this is the largest dog show in North America. For this event, the AKC presents a custom, hand-sculpted perpetual cup created by Bennett Awards to its Best in Show winner. Unique, custom medallions on the base of the cup signify each year’s winner.
