Netflix "Popcorn Bowl" Award

$0.00

The Netflix "Popcorn Bowl" custom award was created by Bennett Awards for the Netflix Movie World Watching Championship, held between October 2nd through October 7th in New York’s Time Square. The event, dubbed “The Quest for the Popcorn Bowl”, was a competition developed by Netflix, the world’s largest online movie rental service, to set a new Guinness World Record for the most consecutive hours spent watching movies. 8 contestants competed for a grand prize consisting of $10,000, a lifetime subscription to Netflix, and the first ever Popcorn Bowl trophy.

The two competition winners were Suresh Joachim and Claudia Wavra. The two achieved a new Guinness World Record by watching 123 hours and 10 minutes of continuous movies. At the close of the event, they were presented with their custom Bennett Award – the “Netflix Popcorn Bowl”. The unique award, which stands two feet tall, features a bowl of “popcorn” on top of a tall, silver pedestal. The base of the custom award is engraved with the Netflix logo and the name of the event.
