Seeing Eye Figurative Sculpture

$0.00

Bennett Awards worked with The Seeing Eye to create a custom figurative sculpture award recognizing the organization’s former President and CEO, Jim Kutsch. The Seeing Eye is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye® dogs.

In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.

Kutsch is the organization’s first graduate to serve as President and CEO. The custom sculpture recognizes Kutsch’s service and 51 -year relationship with the organization.

The sculpture is a realistic figurative sculpture of Kutsch and his Seeing Eye Dog Coby. The sculpture was hand-sculpture by Bennett Awards, and then cast in bronze. The sculpture was finished with an antique bronze patina. The sculpture stands 12” tall, and is mounted on a bluestone pedestal base outside the organization’s headquarters. The base was donated by a local businesses, and features the names of the nine dogs Kutsch has partnered with.
